Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)

A type of jet fuel produced from renewable sources, such as agricultural waste, used cooking oil, or algae, designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions compared to conventional fossil-based jet fuel. SAF can be blended with traditional jet fuel and used in existing aircraft engines without modification. Its use is a key strategy for decarbonizing the aviation industry.
