Tariff quotas

A system that allows a specific quantity of a particular good to be imported at a reduced tariff rate, while imports exceeding that quantity are subject to a higher tariff rate. This mechanism is used by countries to manage trade flows, protect domestic industries, or fulfill international trade agreements. Tariff quotas are often applied to agricultural products or sensitive manufactured goods.
