XYZ analysis

A method for classifying inventory items based on the variability or predictability of their demand. X items have stable and predictable demand, Y items have fluctuating demand with some predictability, and Z items have highly irregular or unpredictable demand. This classification supports inventory management strategies, such as setting appropriate safety stock levels and forecasting methods for each category.
