Austru

A cold, dry wind that blows from the east or southeast in Romania, particularly affecting the Wallachian Plain. It is a regional wind influenced by the Carpathian Mountains and often brings clear skies and low temperatures. This wind is similar in character to other cold downslope winds found in mountainous regions.
