Brier score

A verification measure used to assess the accuracy of probabilistic forecasts for binary events, such as the occurrence or non-occurrence of precipitation. It calculates the mean squared difference between the forecast probabilities and the observed outcomes. A lower Brier score indicates a more accurate forecast, with a perfect score of zero.
