Concrete minimum temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004571
The lowest temperature recorded at the surface of a concrete slab, which can differ from the air temperature due to the thermal properties of concrete. Concrete absorbs and radiates heat differently than air, leading to variations, especially during clear nights. This measurement is relevant for assessing frost risk on paved surfaces and for road weather forecasting.
