Consecutive mean

An average calculated from a series of data points taken sequentially over time, where each new mean includes the most recent data point and excludes the oldest. This method provides a smoothed representation of a time series, highlighting trends and reducing short-term fluctuations. It is often used in climate analysis to identify long-term changes in atmospheric variables.
