Drainage well

A vertical shaft constructed to remove excess surface water or groundwater from an area by directing it into a permeable subsurface layer. These wells are often used in agricultural fields or urban developments to prevent waterlogging. The design of a drainage well depends on the local hydrogeology and the volume of water to be managed.
