Equinoctial storm
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005446
A severe weather event, often characterized by strong winds and heavy precipitation, that occurs near the dates of the spring or autumn equinox. These storms are not directly caused by the equinox itself but rather by the dynamic atmospheric conditions prevalent during the transitional seasons. They are frequently observed in mid-latitude regions as frontal systems become more active.
