Flood mitigation

A range of measures and strategies implemented to reduce the adverse impacts of floods on communities and infrastructure. These can include structural approaches like dams and levees, as well as non-structural methods such as land-use planning, early warning systems, and floodplain management. The goal is to minimize loss of life, property damage, and economic disruption.
