Fuzzy set
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005861
A set in which elements have degrees of membership, ranging from 0 (non-membership) to 1 (full membership), rather than the crisp binary membership of classical set theory. This allows for the representation of concepts that are not clearly defined or have gradual boundaries. For example, a fuzzy set for 'warm temperature' might assign a membership value of 0.8 to 25°C.
