Gauss curve

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005887

Another name for the normal distribution curve, a symmetrical, bell-shaped probability distribution that describes many natural phenomena, including errors in measurement and variations in atmospheric variables. It is characterized by its mean and standard deviation, with the majority of data points clustering around the mean. This curve is widely used in statistical analysis and modeling in meteorology.
