Gauss elimination

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005888

A systematic algorithm for solving systems of linear algebraic equations by transforming the system's augmented matrix into row echelon form. This method involves a series of elementary row operations to eliminate variables sequentially. It is a fundamental technique in numerical analysis, often used in atmospheric modeling for solving discretized equations.
