Hypsography

The study and mapping of the elevation of land surfaces relative to a reference datum, typically mean sea level. It involves the measurement and representation of terrain features, including mountains, plateaus, and valleys. Hypsographic maps use contour lines or color gradients to depict variations in altitude across a geographical area.
