Inadvertent cloud modification

Unintentional alterations to cloud properties or formation processes caused by human activities. This can include changes in cloud cover, type, or precipitation efficiency due to the emission of aerosols that act as cloud condensation nuclei or ice nuclei. Ship tracks, which are linear clouds formed by exhaust from ships, are a visible example of this phenomenon.
