Meteorological cloud chamber
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010617
A laboratory device designed to simulate atmospheric conditions to study cloud formation processes, particularly the nucleation of water droplets and ice crystals. It allows for precise control of temperature, pressure, and humidity to observe how aerosols act as cloud condensation nuclei or ice nuclei. These chambers are used to investigate the microphysics of clouds and their interaction with atmospheric particles.
