Ground-check chamber
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010526
A sealed enclosure used for testing and calibrating radiosondes and other meteorological instruments at ground level before their release into the atmosphere. The chamber allows technicians to expose the instrument's sensors to a controlled environment with known values of pressure, temperature, and humidity. This pre-flight check verifies the sensors are functioning correctly and provides baseline data for correcting any systematic errors in the measurements.
