Index of aridity

A quantitative measure used to characterize the dryness of a climate or region, typically based on the balance between precipitation and potential evapotranspiration. Higher values indicate more humid conditions, while lower values signify greater aridity. One common formulation is the ratio of annual precipitation to annual potential evapotranspiration.
