Off-center PPI scope

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007673

A display mode for a Plan Position Indicator (PPI) radar screen where the radar antenna's location is not at the geometric center of the display. This allows for a greater range of view in a particular direction, extending the effective display area for targets located far from the radar. It is often used to focus on specific areas of interest or to track distant weather phenomena.
