Rain shower

A brief period of precipitation characterized by its sudden onset and cessation, and often by rapid changes in intensity. Showers originate from convective clouds, such as cumulus or cumulonimbus, and cover a relatively small area. Unlike continuous rain, a shower's intensity can vary significantly over short durations.
