Snow flurry
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008982
A brief and light fall of snow, characterized by its intermittent nature and resulting in little to no measurable accumulation on the ground. The snowflakes are typically small, and visibility is only slightly and temporarily reduced. Unlike a more intense snow shower, a flurry is a gentle event originating from stratiform clouds and is of short duration.
Snow flurries are an intermittent light snowfall of short duration (generally light snow showers) with no measurable accumulation (trace category).
