Snow fence

A barrier constructed to accumulate snowdrifts in desired locations, preventing them from obstructing roads, railways, or building entrances. These structures alter wind patterns, causing snow to deposit on the downwind side. They are often made of wood slats or plastic mesh and are positioned perpendicular to the prevailing wind direction.
