Wind scoop

A hollowed-out depression or concavity formed in snow or ice on the windward side of an obstruction, such as a rock or a building. The wind accelerates around the obstruction, causing increased erosion and sublimation of the snow or ice. These features are common in windy, snow-covered environments.
