Recording instrument
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008451
A device that automatically registers and stores measurements of atmospheric variables over a period of time. These instruments provide a continuous record, unlike those that only show instantaneous values. Examples include barographs for pressure, thermographs for temperature, and hygrographs for humidity, which often use a pen on a rotating drum to create a trace.
