Small-craft warning

A weather advisory issued by meteorological services to alert operators of small vessels to hazardous conditions on coastal waters, lakes, or other bodies of water. The warning indicates that winds are expected to reach sustained speeds of 20 to 33 knots (23 to 38 mph or 37 to 61 km/h) or that seas are expected to be 5 feet or greater. It advises mariners to exercise caution or consider postponing voyages.
