Snowfall

The amount of new snow that falls over a specific period, measured as the vertical depth of freshly fallen snow on a level surface. This measurement is distinct from snow depth, which includes accumulated snow from previous events. Snowfall is measured in units of inches or centimeters and is a key parameter in winter weather forecasting.
