Storage ratio

A hydrological parameter that compares the volume of water stored in a reservoir or basin to another relevant quantity, such as its annual inflow or outflow. It provides an indication of the system's capacity relative to its throughput. This ratio is used in water resource management to assess the resilience of a water supply.
