Transport processes
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009773
The physical mechanisms responsible for the movement of mass, momentum, and energy within the atmosphere. These processes include advection, which is horizontal movement by wind, and convection, which involves vertical movement due to buoyancy. Diffusion also contributes to the mixing and redistribution of atmospheric properties.
