Eddy advection
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005266
The horizontal transport of atmospheric properties, such as heat, moisture, or momentum, by turbulent eddies. This process contributes to the redistribution of these properties within the atmosphere, influencing weather patterns and climate. It is distinct from mean advection, which is transport by the average flow.
