Eddy velocity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005275
The fluctuating component of the fluid velocity associated with turbulent motions, distinct from the mean flow velocity. These irregular and seemingly random velocity components are responsible for the mixing and transport of properties within a turbulent fluid.
