Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010017
The electronic display or recording of moving images, often used in meteorology to visualize time-series data from weather radar, satellite imagery, or numerical model outputs. This allows for the observation of atmospheric phenomena evolution over time, such as the movement of storm cells or cloud patterns. Weather radar displays, for example, update every few minutes to show precipitation changes.
