Warm rain

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010086

Precipitation that forms in clouds where temperatures are entirely above freezing, meaning no ice crystals are involved in its formation. This type of rain develops through the collision-coalescence process, where larger cloud droplets grow by colliding and merging with smaller ones. It is common in tropical and subtropical regions.
