Warm pool

A region of the ocean where sea surface temperatures remain consistently high, generally above 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit). These areas are characterized by deep convection and are major sources of latent heat release into the atmosphere. The Indo-Pacific Warm Pool is the largest and most prominent, influencing global weather patterns and climate variability.
