Weather facsimile

A method of transmitting meteorological charts, maps, and other graphical weather information over radio or satellite. Also known as WEFAX or radiofax, this technology allows ships, aircraft, and remote stations to receive current weather data. These transmissions typically include surface analyses, upper-air charts, and satellite imagery.
