Facsimile equipment

Devices used for the transmission and reception of graphical information, such as weather charts, over telecommunication lines. This equipment scans a document, converts the image into electrical signals, and then reconstructs the image at the receiving end. Modern systems have largely replaced analog facsimile machines with digital image transfer methods.
