Data augmentation

A set of techniques used to increase the amount of data by adding slightly modified copies of existing data or newly created synthetic data from existing data. This process artificially expands the training dataset for machine learning models, particularly in deep learning. Common image augmentation methods include rotation, flipping, and cropping, while text augmentation involves synonym replacement or back-translation.
