Deep learning
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000970
A subfield of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks with multiple layers (deep neural networks) to learn complex patterns from large amounts of data. These networks can automatically extract features from raw data, eliminating the need for manual feature engineering. Deep learning is applied in oil and gas for seismic interpretation, predictive maintenance, and autonomous drilling.
