Farmor

The owner of an oil and gas lease who transfers all or part of their operating rights to another party, known as the farmee. This transfer typically occurs when the farmor lacks the resources or desire to drill a well on the leased acreage. The farmor retains an overriding royalty interest or a reversionary interest in the lease.
