Farmee

A party that receives an interest in an oil and gas lease from another party, known as the farmor, under a farmout agreement. The farmee typically commits to drilling a well or performing other development work on the lease in exchange for this interest. Upon successful completion of the agreed-upon work, the farmee earns a specified percentage of the working interest.
