Net revenue interest

The percentage share of oil and gas production, or of the revenue from its sale, that an owner receives after royalties, overriding royalties and other burdens are taken off the working interest. It divides revenue, whereas the working interest sets the share of costs the owner pays. For example, a 100 percent working interest burdened by a one-eighth royalty carries an 87.5 percent net revenue interest.
