Workover

Any operation performed on a producing well to restore or improve its production. This can involve repairing damaged equipment, stimulating the reservoir, or changing the completion configuration. Workovers are distinct from drilling new wells and are often conducted using a smaller, less powerful rig than a drilling rig.
