To disassemble a drilling rig and its associated equipment after drilling operations are finished. The process involves lowering the derrick or mast, disconnecting power, mud, and control systems, and packing up all components for transport. Rigging down is the final phase of on-site work before the rig is moved to a new location or stacked.
