Vee-door

An opening at the base of the derrick, typically shaped like a 'V', through which drill pipe, casing, and other tubulars are moved from the pipe rack to the rig floor. This allows for efficient and safe transfer of tubular goods into the well center. It is a key access point for handling pipe during drilling and completion operations.
