Catwalk

A long, narrow platform located at ground level adjacent to the drilling rig, used for storing and preparing drill pipe, casing, and other tubular goods. It provides a safe and organized area for workers to handle tubulars before they are hoisted to the rig floor. The catwalk typically includes pipe racks and a V-door ramp for transferring pipe.
