Catline

A general-purpose rope or wire line used on a drilling rig for lifting and moving equipment around the rig floor. It is typically operated by a cathead, allowing rig personnel to hoist tools, pipe, or other materials. The catline is a versatile tool for handling loads that are too heavy for manual lifting but do not require the main hoisting system.
