Sand line

A relatively small-diameter wire rope used on a drilling rig or workover rig to run tools into and out of the wellbore. It is wound on a separate drum from the main drilling line and is used for lighter operations like bailing sand, running logging tools, or setting packers. Sand lines are designed for high tensile strength and flexibility.
