Geronimo line

A safety line or escape rope rigged from the derrick or mast to the ground, providing an emergency exit for personnel working at height on a drilling rig. This line is used in situations where the primary escape routes are compromised. It consists of a strong rope or cable with a braking device for controlled descent.
