Support material
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000372
A temporary structure printed to prevent deformation of overhanging or unsupported sections of a 3D model during the additive manufacturing process. These structures are typically removed after the printing is complete, either manually or through dissolution. The choice of support material depends on the primary build material and the complexity of the part geometry.
