Amelia

A severe congenital malformation characterized by the complete absence of one or more limbs at birth. This developmental anomaly results from disruptions during early embryonic limb bud formation. It is a specific type of birth defect, distinct from phocomelia, which involves underdeveloped or shortened limbs.
