Hemimelia

A congenital malformation characterized by the partial or total absence of the distal part of a limb. This developmental anomaly results from a failure of formation of the long bones during embryonic development. It can affect either the upper or lower limbs and is classified based on the specific bone or bones that are missing or underdeveloped.
